For more safety on the road you can count on the PRE-SAFE® occupant protection. Its sensor-controlled "instinct" can recognise danger in advance and initiate the necessary safety measures. In addition the PRE-SAFE® brake automatically activates a full brake application when impact in unavoidable, which helps minimise damage from an accident.
The passengers in the rear of the vehicle stay entertained with the optional rear-seat entertainment package. Both head restraints on the front seats are fitted with 8-inch displays for viewing DVDs. A remote control makes for convenient operation. The audio output can be heard through wireless headphones or the Harman Kardon® Logic 7® surround sound system.
One component of the entertainment package in front is the innovative SPLITVIEW display technology which, depending on the angle, can simultaneously show two different types of content on the COMAND display of the S-Class. So for example, the driver can use the navigation mode while the front passenger watches a film.
